The GameShark line of products allow players to use a number of codes and game modifiers on their game systems to help unlock the full potential of their games. Using the Game Boy Advanced GameShark, players can enter a code for a 'Pokemon Sapphire' game that helps them catch extremely rare variants of each Pokemon, including the shiny version. To do so, players must simply enter and activate the game's master code, followed by the shiny Pokemon code.
Insert the GameShark cartridge in the Game Boy Advanced's game slot. Insert the 'Pokemon Sapphire' game cartridge into the slot on the GameShark. Move the GameShark's power switch to the 'On' position and move the Game Boy Advanced's power switch to the 'On' position.
Press 'Up' on the system's D-Pad to highlight the 'New Game' option and press the 'B' button. Enter the words 'Pokemon Sapphire' in the space provided and press the 'Start' button to save the game's name.
Enter the following master code in the space provided:

After entering each line, press the 'Start' button to move down to the next line.
Press 'Up' on the system's D-Pad to highlight the 'Add New Cheat' option and press the 'B' button. Enter 'Shiny Pokemon' in the space provided and press the 'Start' button to save the cheat's name.

Press the 'Start' button to save the cheat code.
Highlight the 'Pokemon Sapphire' game from the GameShark's game select screen and press the 'A' button to select it. Highlight and select the 'Shiny Pokemon' code to activate it. Press the 'Start' button to begin playing the game.
Use the D-Pad to navigate your character into a cave or area with tall-grass. When you encounter a wild Pokemon, it will be the shiny variant of that Pokemon. Fight the Pokemon until its life shows red as you would any other Pokemon, and throw a Pokeball to catch it.
